Moving Stories Play Therapy Method: Telling Therapeutic Stories in the Sandtray
Sue Carroll Duffy, Psy.D., RPT-S will be presenting a 3-hour free workshop at Acadia Hospital in Bangor Maine. This workshop introduces the Moving Stories play therapy method which is an integration of play therapy, sandtray therapy and bibliotherapy. 3 APT CEU’s are available for $20. Space limited to 50. The Roundtable: The Roundtable provides mental health clinicians in with the opportunity to be participant-presenters–learning from each other, providing peer support and researching and presenting in areas of personal interest. The Maine Play Therapy Association is collaborating with By The Sea Seminars to establish a Roundtable in the Central and Western Maine area. The Down East Roundtable is established and open to visitors. CEU’s may be earned for most helping professionals and for those working towards registration as Play Therapists if “Play Therapy” is in the title. Limited to 18 participants. 1: Integrating Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy and Story. Located in the remote and beautiful coastal town of Perry, Maine this workshop will introduce the Moving Stories Method which integrates story, sandtray and play therapy. Participants will experience the method in Dr. Duffy’s “Wonder Room”, a special kind of playroom that houses the three dimensional therapeutic library. CEU’s may be earned for most helping professionals and for those working towards registration as Play Therapists. Limited to 6 participants.

3: Sandtray Therapy Intensive. Located in the beautiful coastal town of Perry, Maine, this workshop will provide an in depth study of how to use the sandtray in the Moving Stories play therapy method.
