Roundtable 2011 to 2012 Registration and Brochure
New Date: May 5, 2012
Norway Roundtable
Brochure and Registration
Purpose
The Roundtable provides mental health clinicians in the Downeast area with the opportunity to be participant-presenters–learning from each other, providing peer support and researching and presenting in areas of personal interest. The Roundtable also hopes to support/develop play therapists.
How it Works
Each clinician presents on an area of interest once during the year. Typically the presentations are 1 1/2 to 3 hours long.
Support
Meeting with the same small group of therapists during the year facilitates supportive relationships. In addition, participants are invited to participate in online support and consultation with participants from The Roundtable as part of a group listserv.
Registration
Registration is open during the months of July and August each year. If you would like to participate, contact By The Sea Seminars at any point during the year. If there is an opening in the Roundtable, you will be invited to provide a brief biography along with your topic. In the fall you will be sent a brochure with the schedule and location of the presentations for the upcoming year. Visitors are welcome to any of the Roundtable workshops.
CEU’s
Certificates of Attendance will be awarded for each presentation. Each day is designed to provide 6 CE Credits or Contact Hours, with the exception of October 28th–participants must complete an online test with Theraplay for a cost of $25 to earn 4 of the 6 hours and workshops in Norway are for 4 CEU’s. Partial hours are permitted with approval. MEAPT (APT Approved Provider 99-077) and By The Sea Seminars (APT Approved Provider 04-144) co-sponsor the workshops. By The Sea Seminars takes primary responsibility. Application has been made to the Maine Board of Social Work for CEU’s for the rest of the workshops. Per the Maine Licensed Professional Counselors Board, it is up to the individual to decide if the program enhances his/her professional competence.
Cost: Visitor: $100 per workshop, Past Presenter: $50 per workshop, Presenter: $100 for the year. MEAPT Members 20% discount.
Size: Limited to 18 participants (visitors, past presenters and presenters).
