Join us as we examine play therapy supervision through creative modalities. This workshop adapts several play and art-based interventions helpful in the clinical supervision process. A review of two theoretical models of supervision will lay the groundwork for building our skills in giving and receiving feedback as a key supervisory competency. Unique to this workshop will be opportunities for growth through deconstructing role play scenarios using a “supervision of supervision” andragogical learning format.

Learning Objectives

  • Attendees will be able to identify two benefits for utilizing a playful approach in the supervision of play therapists.
  • Attendees will review the developmental and discrimination theoretical models of supervision applicable for play therapy supervision and be able to name one key concept from each model.
  • Attendees will either experience or observe “supervision of supervision” andragogy as a way to explore professional strengths, challenges, and areas of growth.
